Aomway Commander Faceplate for smaller faces

Aomway Commander Faceplate for smaller faces

Description

I had the issue with the Aomway Commanders that the faceplate was way too flat for my face. If I used a too thin or too hard foam, I'd get a lot of light leak on the sides. The original foam is terrible, so when I upgraded to the NewBeeDrone foam for the Commanders, I had to design a new faceplate for it to make it work properly. The result turned out great. I recommend to print the one with headband if you will have the battery at the back of the strap. The NewBeeDrone foam. A great and cheap ugrade, well worth the money https://www.getfpv.com/newbeedrone-max-comfort-foam-cushion-aomway-commander.html It was printed on a stock Creality Ender 3, with black PLA. Make sure to use "support roof" and "support floor". I recommend 0.1mm, as there are some slight curves on the model that needs small layer height to look good. Use 10 perimeters to make it solid. The solidworks file is attached if you want to edit something Update February 2021: added different curvatures to the faceplates. Now 144,142,140 and 138mm opening at the back end. The original curvature was about 144, so if you had light leak on the sides you can try different curvatures. Have not printed new version yet, but it should still fit the goggles.
