MK8 fan duct for 50 mm diameter fan

MK8 fan duct for 50 mm diameter fan

Description

It is design for a Geeetech Prusa i3 Pro B, but it could probably be adapted to other 3D printers. Update from the 22/08/19: Now it includes a kind of cable canal to hold the cables going down to the hot end and the temperature sensor. Very practical to keep your cables out of the moving part's path. 1st release from 10/08/2018: Allows you to cool down your 3D printed part. It is a simple and therefore low weight construction which reduce the possible effect of the momentum on the print head's movement. Very easy and efficient fan duct with very little fan load losses. The height of the nozzle is adjustable to come has close as possible to the hot end. Personally my setup has a distance of 8 mm The hook allows to very easily disengage the fan for inspection or for maintenance. The angle of the duct is adjustable The duct and fan's support allows to clip the cables in it in order to have a well organised print head. It has been inspired by https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:814590 but I had to start from scratch because it was not the same printer nor the same fan. The modelisation has been made easy thanks to the very accurate MK8 modelling from Arno191 (see his MK8 model here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2788031 You'll need a spare M3 x 14 mm screw from your Geeetech printer. Fan model: DF5015SM, 12 V, 0.18 A
