CR10s Pro + CR10s Pro Max Fan Duct

CR10s Pro + CR10s Pro Max Fan Duct

Description

This remix is one based on Anscari's "Cr10s Pro Fan Duct". I had a couple issues with his otherwise very well put together remixx of siteswapjuggler's work. First was the fan duct hung a little too low and actually would have collided with the bed and print since it was slightly below the nozzle. I have compensated for that by pulling it up a little. I messed with this in zbrush so it isn't pristine and it isn't light weight (triangle count wise) but it no longer has intercepting geometry which makes it easier to print and modify in some regards (the way higher poly count makes it less friendly in others.) But I hope it's helpful as-is. In addition, I increased the size of the screw holes so that they sit more flush with the original half of the fan duct cover. Installation Instructions: 1) Print this successfully: You may want to print the one by Anscari as well since his sits lower and there *may* be variation where his remix works better for your nozzle height. I'm not sure genuinely why the other one sits as low as it does. Maybe the hotend isn't screwed together as close, I tightened mine up to avoid any gaps in the bowden and it may be a millimeter or two shorter as a result. 2) Remove your original fan cap. This may be difficult. I was unable to remove mine without clipping it off with the printer hobby clippers that came with my printer. Be careful not to damage the back half of the fan. BE VERY CAREFUL NOT TO DAMAGE THE ROTATING FAN EITHER. It has an outer circle that is hidden by the original fan shroud and sits nearly flush with the outside cap, if you take hobby clippers to the cap be extremely careful not to damage the fan. 3) Screw the new replacement cap on and enjoy!
