FLSUN Cube to CoreXY
Description
[v1.5]-[15-10-2019] I created 2 adjustable steppermounts. This makes it easier to adjust the tension in the belt-system. The tension works with a big M8 screw that pushes against the stepper. I'll add a knob later on that can attacho onto the screw-head Extra requiremends: 4 pulleys (2 with teeth and 2 without) Mouting to the frame is with M4 bolts; the pulleys use an M5 bolt. [v1.0]-[04-10-2019] First of all, this is Version 1 of my CoreXY conversion build and my first attempt. Some parts need a complete make-over. My part cooler is my first attempt (ever) of creating a fang cooler in Fusion 360. The real-life results of this are not too good (the fang is too close to the hotend). I'm in the process of redesigning this :) Also, the stepper mounts are currently non-adjustable. I'm designing new stepper mounts that allow for belt-tensionning. Will be posted in a future update :) For now, my unofficial BoM: - 3* 400mm MGN12H rails - 1* 400mm 2020 extrusion - 5m belt - Pulleys (when using the adjustable stepper-mount) * 8*20t pulley (M5 bore) * 4*blank pulley (M5 bore) - Bolts: * 10*M5x50 * 4*M5x40 (for the XY connectors) * 50*M4x10 (used to bolt down all the corner-stuff) * 50*M4 T-nut to bolt everything to the frame * 100*M3x8 for the rails * 100xM3 T-nut to bolt everything to the frame * 25xM3x10 to attacht the carriage to the rails Probaply more bolts as well but if you order smart @ aliexpress it won't cost you much to order a stash of nuts 'n bolts :) The XY-Cap needs to be printed twice, it fits on both sides. Mounting-materials - I used M5*50 bolts for the wheelhouses and the XY connectors - All the frame-mounting is with M4 - The hotend-mount is mounted with M3 bolts The stepper-mounts and the wheelhouses double down as frame-corners, i printed them pretty heavy for strength. I used 0.2 layer height with a 0.4mm nozzle to print everything. My build is greatly inspired by LordKyleOfEarth's build (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3094320) But i was stubborn and wanted to design it myself *sigh* Everything is designed in Fusion 360, i named the parts as where they need to be :)
