Electronic Focuser for Celestron 127 MAK
Description
This one took a bit of work, but I love it. The scope no longer vibrates when I'm focusing! The speed of the focuser adjusts from 15RPM right down to nothing, Plus the Controller switches off with a click, so you KNOW it's off. No supports needed FWIW, I used PLA+ You need: 1. One of these: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00EDMIH7E (Make sure that you get the 15RPM version. The torque is MORE than sufficient). 2. One of these: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01FA9UNMA (You will use this momentary switch to replace the switch in the next item. Take a picture of it's wiring and use it to wire this one in!) 3. One of these: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B071H2YQG5 (Note that the switch is NOT a momentary switch and you REALLY want a momentary switch!) 4. One Motor Adapter 5. One Dovetail Motor Mount 6. One each of the two pieces to make the motor controller box. 7. One 5mm bolt to hold the Motor Adapter on the motor shaft 8. Some bolts to mount the motor. 9. A bolt to hold the Mount on the Dovetail of the scope. I put a little hook on the Dovetail Motor Mount to hang the control box when I'm not using it. That way I don't have to worry about cord wrap. Your choice for cables and connectors. I used RCA plugs and connectors to connect the control box to the motor and standard 12v connectors (that work with 12v power bricks) for the power connectors. Also, I use an external 3S LiPo battery for my GoTo mount and simply made a Y adapter to run both the GoTo and this focuser.
