GEPRC KHX (KHX5, KHX6, KHX7) DJI Air Unit and antenna mount
Description
SUMMARY I designed this for my GEPRC KHX7 for mounting the DJI FPV Air Unit module with stock DJI antennas. This should work with other frame sizes also (KHX5 and KHX6). If this works for you, please post in the comments. I've designed the mount so that there's just enough pigtail to reach the antenna connectors with a little bit of slack. The Air Unit should press up against the back wall, keeping the antenna connectors perfectly locked in place without having to use hot glue or similar. There's a cutout around the base for securing the air unit with a zip tie. There's also a wire channel along the length of the base to allow the wiring harness to run under the air unit and back to the center of the frame. PRINTING Print with supports on it's side (this orientation should give a smoother mating surface where the bracket mounts up to the frame). I printed with 60% overhang supports touching build plate only. After a failed print (nozzle knocked print loose, I printed with a raft just to be sure, but I really don't think it's needed if you have good bed adhesion. Printed in PETG with 20% infill. but I'm sure you could probably go lower to save weight, that's completely up to you. Not sure how well this would print in TPU, but I'd love if someone could try and post the results! POST PRINTING To secure the bracket to the frame, you'll need 4x button head M3x6mm bolts and 4x M3 nuts to be pushed into the recessed holes. Use a pair of pliers to force the bolts in if you're having trouble pushing them in. They should fit nice and tight to allow you to tighten the bolts down without them spinning. FEEDBACK This is my first ever design. If this has helped you, please let me know in the comments section. Just knowing that this has helped someone is payment enough :) REMIXING I've included a .step file to encourage modifications. Please let me know if there's any other format that you need.
