Old-style iPad strain relief
Description
I wanted to try out flexible filament 3d printing and my wife's iPad cable was starting to wear next to the connector, so this is the result! It's designed to be printed without supports and clip neatly on to the back of the iPad connector, gently supporting the joint with the cable. The end-result is a really sturdy cable support that makes it easy to remove the iPad connector without straining the plug or the wire. I was very pleasantly surprised by how tough the 3d print is, compared to the more standard PLA or ABS prints: it can be pulled and twisted without risk of breaking! After printing this, I realised that TPU is quite a practical way to make very strong objects.
