Dual Flex3Drive mount for Ender5
Description
Simple holder for Dual Flex3Drive for Ender 5. I was told Ender 3 uses same carriage so this might work for Ender 3 too but I have not tested, if you do test please comment. Printed in PETG but any material should work (stiffer the better, PLA probbly better then PETG). Both nozzles have access to almost whole bed (max X is ~ 10mm short for the right nozzle, left one reaches full bed). Mounting - you have to mount the holder to the ender mount first, use 4 M3 screws to fix it, note that there's only ~3-3.5mm clearance between back of the plate and the extruder so head of the M3 screw need to be under that size. In order to have full X access to the bed, print this endstop holder https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3609543 so you can rotate existing endstop 90 degrees to have proper stopping from a plate and not wheel, but when you mount it, do not use original M5 screw that goes in to the rail but use a T-nut and slide the switch to the right to extend max movement of the extruder carriage to the right. You will lose few cm on the Z travel! Flex3Drive are soon releasing G5 mini extruder so the new dualG5 will probbly solve the loss of those few cm on the Z too :) After holder is mounted to ender, attach Flex3Drive dual extruder with 2 screws (M3x40) Weight of the holder + flex3drive dual extruder + 1.75mm hexagon + 3.0mm hexagon hotends + 2fans to cool hexagons + all required nuts and bolts = 240g compared to TITAN extruder + hotend + fans, nuts, bolts that's 495g ... EDIT: new V9 has a indicator and bltouch holder integrated
