ISDT Q6 Plus Housing
Description
The plastic housing on my ISDT Q6+ broke, and since the electronics were still good, I figured reverse engineering it would be a good fusion 360 exercise. I tried to duplicate it as exactly as I could measure things, but its not a perfect copy. It works for me as a direct replacement created from my printer, but some tweaking may be necessary depending on your use case. This can be somewhat tricky to print: * The top/lid section prints best on a raft with the upper surface facing down to the build plate (the upper surface has the raised thumbwheel rim) * The Base section prints fine for me without supports with the flat bottom aligned to the print surface. You can take the plastic display cover off of your original by heating it up with a hot air gun to soften the adhesive while lifting it. Once that is off, it exposes the 4 screws that hold together the electronics with the two parts of the original injection molded housing. The display ribbon cable goes into a standard ribbon cable connector with locking slider. The fan plugs in with a JST plug.
