Anycubic i3 mega bulky fan duct for Sunon radial fan

Anycubic i3 mega bulky fan duct for Sunon radial fan

Description

Made this part to use the Sunon fan (Sunon Radial Fan 50x50x15mm MF50151VX-A99) for part cooling while mounting it in the original Anycubic fanbox. this model was rebuilt from scratch so that it is no longer relying on the fan housing to hold the duct in place like the previous one but is instead attached with the fan screws on both sides. It's a bit bulky but leaves enough clearance (~2.5mm with default nozzle) to go over the original build plate clamps and doesn't interfere with the x-axis reference switch. Mounting requires a second hole to be drilled right next to the bottom one to fit the different screw distance of the Sunon fan instead of the original Boosfan. In one picture you can see the left side of the cover with the fan duct attached and the blue arrow pointing to where the original fan mounting hole was. No need for any supports when printing, as the top of the air ducts is constructed like a gable roof. Note: as with the previous fan duct, you will probably have to either drastically limit the fan speed or run PID autotune after replacing the fan and installing this duct, as this combination cools the nozzle more than the heater can compensate for with the default PID values. Otherwise the actual nozzle temperature will be much lower than selected (I've seen differences of more than 20°C without tuning the PID values) which can also cause the printer to abort the print with a heater error.
