Cap (for round plant glass / green house)
Description
This is a cap for round glasses to have quite a self watering green house, like you can buy cheap at a large swedish furniture retailer or whereever. Maybe I will make a more beautiful one in the future, but the simple design makes it also easy to print. Principle is that humidity stays in glass as the top is almost closed. There is a small hole in the middle which is responsible for fresh air to prevent molding (hopefully). Currently it seems to work quite well. (The plant in the picture was brown before I planted it to the green house, but already gets new green leafs). Best for carnivoric plants or other plants which like high humidity. I am using peat, potting soil and moss as substrate and filled in water until everything was quite wet. Didn't need to water for weeks now and it is still wet, but this is maybe also dependent on the room climate. You may put the system to a sunny place on your window ledge. Print with transparent filament or white (will be milky anyway). I made it quite thin so as much light as possible may enter, but it is stable enough in my opinion. This model is for glasses with inner diameter of 10 cm, you may scale it for your purpose.
