Flexible filament runout sensor holder
Description
This is a holder for filament runout sensor for mounting on a printer where the spool is on the top of the printer and you have direct drive extruder, hence the filament goes straight down. I hooked the filament sensor on a spring (it looks a bit like a fishing rod :-) ). This way the sensor can alight naturally with direct path of the filament as the printhead moves left and right. This is important especially for printing tall objects when the printhead gets close to the spool. I made this for my Ender 3 Pro with DDE, but can be used for any similar system Other material required: 1x DIN912 (socket) M4x8 ~ M4x10 screw for the base 2x DIN912 (socket) M3x10 ~ M3x20 screw for the spring 1x M3 nut 1x M4 T-nut (hammer nut) (or you can print one: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3829107) 1x spring 20~60mm long (I used 40mm) As always, OpenSCAD file is attached for any modification. Be my guest.
