Raspberry Pi Solution for Sony BRAVIA KDL-37S5650

Description

Raspberry Pi Frame

for Sony BRAVIA KDL-37S5650

I have turned my full-HD TV set (Sony BRAVIA KDL-37S5650) into a Media Center by using a Raspberry Pi and LibreELEC. To have it cleanly arranged, I created a frame for the raspberry and a new housing for the Raspberry Pi power supply. With this solution it can be mounted at the back side of the TV.

Raspberry Pi Mounting Frame

The Raspberry Pi is mounted on an existing screw terminal on one side and on the antenna connector on the other side.

Power Supply Box

The power supply box is designed to be compatible to the PCB and wiring of the original Raspberry Pi powered adapter. The solution additionally provides a parallel mains plug for the TV so that optionally only one power cable for both, the TV and the Raspberry Pi is needed.
Warning: Electricity is dangerous - if you are not qualified, do not work on the power supply unit!

Needed material:

Raspberry Pi 2 or 3

Raspberry Pi 2.5A switching adapter (model DSA-13PFC-05)

History

Power Supply Box

Version 0.1.0
First published version and currently in use.

Raspberry Pi Frame

Version 0.1.0
First published version and currently in use.
