Solder Fume Extractor
Description
This is a solder fume extractor I designed in Fusion 360. Please watch the YouTube clip to see how it was put together. https://youtu.be/KdRE1B4gJt0 My Channel: https://www.youtube.com/user/Massey276 UPDATE: I have recently found that you get twice the suction if you eliminate the carbon filter on the back. If you want to still double up the filtration you can print off the "Body Front Upgrade_2 Filters" file and use that instead of the single filter Body Front. That way you can stack 2 filters together in the front and none in the back (there will be a drop in suction however). The Shroud will take the longest to print. I recommend to print it with at least a 15% infill. I added a small hole in the top right corner of the shroud to allow you to pass the wires for the LED lights through to the back. The fan that this uses is 120 mm by 120 mm. The mounting holes are 105 mm apart. Here is a link for the one I used. https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B07BMJ61DM/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I also used a 12 volt light strip that I cut into 4 sections for the shroud. I have a separate switch that operates the lights and the fan. I used carbon filters that are 0.9 cm thick purchased off of Amazon.
