Black Mountain Pinto bike - even lower saddle

Black Mountain Pinto bike - even lower saddle

Description

Bought this growing bike from Black Mountain (model Pinto), which is suitable from kids 92cm tall (about 2 years) and up to 4 or 5 years old. It's a great bike and one of the lightest on the market (which is surprisingly difficult to find) - and with the adjustable aluminium frame it will be used and also last much longer than others. However, the minimum size starts at 90 or 92cm, which our son was, but it was still a bit too tall for him (tip-toeing only). He hadn't much fun this way... Looking at the original saddle, I thought a redesign can easily scrape off 5cm, and the result you see here. It is not fixed to the bike, just slide in the saddle pole hole. To reinforce the printed pole piece, I left a hole for an M6 screw - just screw until the end, it should help preventing layer separation when stressed during riding the bike. Now our son is riding it like a pro, arm-length and brake grip actually fit perfectly - he looks like a little mountain biker! It's unlikely, but I hope someone else will have fun with it.
