LED matrix with WiFi and web server

Description

This little housing takes an 8x8 led dot matrix module along with an ESP8266. Credit for wiring and coding goes to "bastelgarage.ch" - see link below. I removed the pin headers from both modules and directly soldered the connections, to make it more compact. The USB cable exits through a little hole in the box, it is not plugged into the ESP8266 but directly soldered to gnd and Vin. The LED matrix itself goes into the opening in the front; all is held in place with some hot glue inside. The cover goes into a recess in the back of the box, secured with a few drops of super glue. The ESP starts a web server; you can connect to it and type in the text you want to see rolling over the matrix. Easy print, no support required. Key words for searching the display module on r.g. eBay: "Led Dot Matrix Display Modul 8x8 MAX7219" Link to wiring and coding reference: https://www.bastelgarage.ch/index.php?route=extension/d_blog_module/post&post_id=6
