Fisher Price Explorer 980 ATV Wheel - 1970
Description
This is a fairly exact representation of the wheel of a Fisher Price Explorer 980. After 40 Years, the plastic of the "tire" had broken and left me with the intact "axle" and "rim". The axle is press fitted, so it is not very easy to extract. I did not see a good way of reusing the rim, since it uses a groove to catch the original tire. I could not recreate this with the material on hand. Therefore i fused the tire and rim together as one object. The part was printed in PLA with 20% infill and is holding up very well so far.
