Press fit truncated octahedral honeycomb
Description
This is a simple press fit model of a truncated octahedral (or as Wikipedia calls it, "bitruncated cubic") honeycomb or tessellation. It consists of hexagonal faces, shared between two truncated octahedral cells, and edge connectors between two adjacent hexagonal faces. Because we omit the square faces, each edge only connects two faces — thus the entire structure can be seen as a sort of two-dimensional manifold connecting an infinite surface of hexagons embedded in three-dimensional space. It can be customized through the accompanying OpenSCAD file. (Protip: remove the somewhat useless Minkowski filleting to save render time.)
