Ender 3 - Mainboardcase for MKS GenL V1
Description
I realy like the Ender 3 ... and I have two of them :-) But it was realy noisy durin printing. So I decided to use som other motordrivers: TMC2208 But this means of course to change the mainboard. With an other maniboard you need an other case. Because I like the position of the electronics, I designed a replace of the original case which a design as close to the original as possible. I also wanted to use as many parts from original as possible... One ot them I use to lower the voltage of the fans (case-fan and the uncontrolled hotend-fan). I run them with about 16V. This reduced the noice a lot and is still enough cooling. The other voltage contoller ist for my RaspberryPI. So I'm able to use the printer power supply for the PI (octoPI). I set the controller to 5,2V. At VCO of the PI I use a diode and a 1000µF 30V cap as sometimes my PI grumbled about undervoltage... J9 is for the "managed" fan of the hotend. The rest is straight forward. The cables are all labeled. Only the thermistor cables are not labled by the mself. So be carefull to not exchange them. The endswitch connector must be exchanged to a 3-pin version, as shown in videos on YouTube.
