Easy print pokeball collection
Description
An easy to print and easy to assemble Pokeball collection. Fully assembled these pokeballs are 10cm in diameter. Files are arranged so you can either print it all at once and paint it later or print piece by piece in whatever filament color you want. Pokeball design is based off the models used in the older main series games (models changed slightly in sword/shield). The great ball has rounded accents rather than square and the ultra ball accents are slightly angled in vs the modern completely square look. To assemble the pokeball - Simply layer the pieces on top of each other and glue in place. The button pieces nest within each other and then within the center ring. Great Ball - Just swap out the top and presto, you've got yourself a great ball rather than a pokeball. Ultra Ball - Just like the others the Ultra Ball top is a simple swap out. Just print yourself another bottom, center, and button and you've got yourself the best of the pokeballs. 9 Oct 21 - Master ball added and new alignment block added. I found it was trickier than it needed to be getting the pieces to line up when gluing the parts together so I added a new 20mm cube alignment hole to the top, centre, and bottom pieces. (Great and ultra ball tops pending update) Either print the block new with the design or use a leftover calibration cube. I'm sure you have lots laying around. The Pokeballs in the first two photos have been sanded and painted. My settings are not good enough to make a print literally shine. That being said I had the best luck with 4 walls, 4 top layers, 3 bottom layers, and 8% infill to ensure that no gaps formed on the top of the rounded areas. Each ball took me around 10 hours to print.
