HEPA+ActiveCarbon filter for printer housing based on IKEA PLATSA

HEPA+ActiveCarbon filter for printer housing based on IKEA PLATSA

Description

To minimize the smell and filter the nano particles produced when printing i've built an printer housing for my Creality Ender 3 Pro based on IKEA PLATSA (120x60x60, 2 60cm doors - 1 with window). The backplane of IKEA PLATSA is 3mm thick. The fan grille and fan holder are printed separately. Parts have threads to connect each other. First i tried to use a 92mm hole and a 1500rpm fan but the air flow wasnt strong enouth, using a 3500rpm fan created too much blow back so i drilled a 120mm hole and resized the parts for a 3500rpm fan. i made 2 designs, one with 50mm tube to reduce the blow back when the IKEA PLATSA stands too close to a wall. (i designed the flat one, but never tested it) The designed air filter based on an Kärcher HEPA13-Filter and an 120mm fan with 3500rpm (10W). As power supply i used an LM2596S. I realized later, that the Kärcher HEPA Filter is not correct orientated because they didnt use 0° as reference for their stabilizer parts on the filter. It works fine, its just the look. UPDATE 12/2019 - added activated carbon filter (130x130x10mm)
