Age of the Universe Gear Demonstration
Description
This is a system of gears that, when assembled, will cause the final gear to take roughly the current estimated age of the universe (13.8 billion years) to make one complete rotation when rotating the handle at 1 revolution per second. As a machine, it is utterly useless, but as a science demonstration, it's mildly entertaining. Enjoy! You will need to print 25 copies of the "5-1 Gear Ratio.3mf" and 1 of each of the other files to assemble. The assembly is pretty much self-explanatory. If pieces don't fit, some sanding will be required.
