Alien gimbal protector for Taranis X9D and others.

Hello Everyone. This is a thing to protect your RC transmitter gimbals (sticks) when you carry it in a backpack. (or even in a original case if you have more things inside it) It will fit Taranis X9D, and old Spektrum DX7, but I didn't have a chance to test more. (Radiomaster TX16S version here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4673138) It also works with most neck strap adaptors (see photos) The two small openings could be probably used for securing the protector with rubber band or something, but I didn't test it yet. I made this one for myself as I'm using longer sticks than most people. Mine are 36mm tall but I also made one more file with 40mm length if someone needs it. (check the picture for exact measurements.) I used PLA for this project, because I wanted to paint it and I'm not big fan of printing from ABS. The one I'm using (3dPrima) is much stronger than usual PLA (also more expensive) and it's strong enough for me. After printing I sanded as much surfaces as I could, painted it with primer, then few coats of metallic paint, and clear lacquer on top. But if I ever make another one, I will coat it in epoxy as it's hard to sand the complicated shapes and PLA is not the best material for sanding with power tools.
