Age of Empires 2 Keep Guard Watchtower

Every keep model from AOE2 on here is hexagonal for some reason?? Why not model it as an octagon like it actually it? Modelled in blender as one eighth and then using an array modifier to make it symmetrical. Lion found on here and used. Printed 90mm tall with 0.24 layer height and it looks great. No supports needed.
