Tevo Tarantula Y Carriage
Description
Do me a favor and a favor to yourself and use the following link to MyMiniFactory. Thingiverse is a bad joke. Some of my designs just disappeared forever. The website has several other issues and the smartphone app isn't working. https://www.myminifactory.com/object/3d-print-133658 ===== This print takes quite some time and uses a lot of material, but in my opinion it worth it. I spent a lot of time trying to fix the annoying wobbling issue using the stock carriage, before printing it. Now my carriage is solid as I always wanted. This is a remix, so I made a few changes: * Legs more square and solid for sturdiness. * More room on the legs to fit large knobs, like these: - https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2825145 - https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2609846 * No need for belt brackets. There is a loop embedded on the main body to attach the belt. By doing that, the end stop will hit the main body as it does on the stock carriage. To assemble this, besides the hardware already on the stock carriage, you just need: * 4x M3 washers * 4x M3 x 14mm bolts (or a little shorter). Longer than 14mm won't fit. Washers and bolts are only to assure the legs will be held firmly in place. Not sure if it's even necessary because everything is very tight, I had to carefully hammer the legs down with a mallet, but I recommend, just in case. **Check two tests I made after this upgrade and judge by yourself!** **20x20x60 Test Tower** to show the result (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2790496) **Also check some mods I made on my printer to achieve this result:** **No Sanding Oldham:** https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2581521/files **X Carriage:** https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3999541 ===== If you'd like to support me you can post a make, comment and/or pay me a coffee at [PayPal](paypal.me/paulorfo)
