ImmersionRC PowerPlay 18650 Battery Case v4
Description
# WARNING Please use a further advanced version: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4080213 because my model here was reverse engineered to get the "ball rolling" for the community. This did what I hoped and caused Tony Cake from ImmersionRC to release the original STL for the case which encouraged Haku3D (above) to use that to make a far more accurate and well designed case. Admittedly this model I made still works, but I never finished making a decent battery protector. Anyways, I hope you'll still enjoy and appreciate the work I put into this! # Purpose I just got an ImmersionRC PowerPlay and its battery life is abysmal despite it being an awesome product. I personally use a lot of 18650's in my transmitter and old goggles batteries, so I decided the PowerPlay should support 18650! # Requirements * Holds 18650 batteries * Isn't flimsy or cheap. Make something people would actually use! * Mounts to the existing headset strap * Uses NO additional parts (besides the printed parts) # History * **November 26 2019 - V1** Initial invention to size it out and iterate * **November 27 - V2** Iteration to add necessary angling of battery because of the mainboard and its connector ports. * **November 27 - V3** Slight tweaks in dimensions and location of ports, added first attempt at making it mount into the goggles strap * **December 1 - V4** Slight tweaks in location of USB-C port, added a battery cover # TODO * NO LONGER MAINTAINED, will be using the one from Haku3d above instead (see top of this document for info) # Print Settings Supports: Yes Infill: 15% Material: Generic Red PLA Layer Height: 0.2mm Brim: Yes # License and Open Source This is licensed to be open source, requiring attribution (credit) to myself, and non commercial. Please do not try to profit off of this. I'm merely donating my time to making something awesome even better.
