Adjustable Stadia Controller Phone Mount - Improved
Description
Loved Cabanon's design and decided to improve upon it. Added the ability to use a rubber band instead of relying on a 3D printed spring as that will wear out eventually. Beefed it up a bit Minimized the supports needed Extended the phone holder to accept bigger phones or ones with larger cases on them Can now be printed at 0.2mm layer height The first Cable I ordered was a bit on the short side. Second one I got is perfect (1 ft): https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07TVMBZ75/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 ----------------------------------- UPDATE (16-MAR-2020) - Been a little while but per request I uploaded an STL of the build plate I would recommend printing (Angled clip and the long top holder). It is a bit bigger overall but much more comfortable to game on for an extended period of time. - For those interested, I also created a version that works with an Xbox One controller (also works with both versions of the elite controller) https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4193822 ----------------------------------- UPDATE (1-DEC-2019) - was playing on my phone for around 2 hr today and my wrists started hurting from tilting the screen towards me so I added an angle to the phone holder to relieve my wrists. Will upload pic of print tomorrow but wanted to get the file out to everyone. - Also, Pro Tip: If you print off the long version of the top part you can put a thicker rubber band across it to give it a boost in grip on your phone. (again, pic tomorrow) ----------------------------------- UPDATE (29-NOV-2019) Had a couple people reach out with requests: - Made it so it can extend 5 more mm for those with beefy cases - Brought rubber band hooks in a bit so it looks cleaner and even when installed - Increased the size of the audio and USB-C Jack openings - Added a long version of the top clip so that you can center your phone without it hitting the volume or power buttons (at least for the Pixel 3XL)
