The three-body problem: hunting ground
Description
The landscape represents abstract mathematical space where 13 periodic solutions to the three-body problem have discovered by Veljko Dmitrašinović and me in 2013 [[ScenceNews](https://www.sciencemag.org/news/2013/03/physicists-discover-whopping-13-new-solutions-three-body-problem)]. Later, in the same "hunting ground", thousands additional periodic solutions have found by us or other authors. You can see all of them in beautiful Observable Notebook [Periodic Planar Three-Body Orbits](https://observablehq.com/@rreusser/periodic-planar-three-body-orbits) written by Ricky Reusser. Each infinite peak corresponds to a periodic solution of the three-body problem. More formally, the landscape represents the negative logarithm of the return proximity function in the search plane.
