cleaning wands

cleaning wands

Description

These cleaning wands are designed to get into small areas. The idea is a cleaning fluid such as soapy water is drawn in from a hose from a container, across the surface to be cleaned and out via a shop vacuum cleaner. Some of the designs labeled as steam cleaner feature a larger input port and had been intended to use a supply of steam for cleaning. If steam is used, be sure to use a higher temperature plastic such as ABS. For the liquid and simple air vacuum wands PLA is fine. The original impetus for the cleaning wands was to clean the keyboard of my Burroughs Class 1 Adding & Listing machine. The adding machine was made about 1917. The machine has this very nice green felt covering the top service, below the key buttons. To clean between the buttons and key stems necessitated the cleaning wands. To see the wands in action, check out the video of my using them to clean the adding machines keyboard felt. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7KPfhu3rgdo Theres a series of videos on my working on the Burroughs Class 1 Adding machine at. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCtBGrxdGsbbyz9oZk8mKJbA/videos I also work on all manor of other calculator, phonograph and radio & 3D printing projects on my YouTube channel, The ID of Ed.
