MUPB - Makita Usb PowerBank / charger with QC3.0 support
Description
I had Makita 18V batteries laying around and I was missing proper USB powerbank. So, from thought to action: Get following chips (direct, not affiliated link): https://www.banggood.com/DC-Buck-Module-12V24V-to-QC3_0-Single-USB-Mobile-Charging-Board-p-1310585.html Print base and top in your favorite color, I used clear, then blue led that indicates power is visible through the lid. Next, use router or your favorite tool to cut contacts out from circuit board, if using hand tools, size is 20mmx20mm, remember to do some nice curve to bottom end, so they slide into battery smoothly. Solder wire between top of contacts and usb charging circuit, make sure that polarity is correct!! Slide contacts in their slots and lock them with drop of CA. Put lid on, click MUPB to your Makita battery and enjoy your shiny new huge powerbank!
