Escher - Arduino Controlled Etch-a-Sketch
Description
Escher is the world's first (I think!) web-controlled Arduino-powered Etch-a-Sketch! This design consists of several components: - Left and right brackets (which fit together using a dovetail joint in the back) - Gear-based knobs, to replace the existing knobs on the Etch-a-Sketch - Gears to attach to stepper motors - Foot (print 4x of these and glue them on the bottom of the brackets). To build this, you will additionally need: - Adafruit Feather HUZZAH32: https://www.adafruit.com/product/3405 - Adafruit Motor FeatherWing: https://www.adafruit.com/product/2927 - Two NEMA17 stepper motors, like these: https://www.amazon.com/Stepper-Motor-Bipolar-64oz-Printer/dp/B00PNEQI7W - Brass heat-set inserts for M3 screws x 4: https://www.adafruit.com/product/4255 - M3 x 8mm screws x 4 for holding knobs to steppers and Etch-a-Sketch knob posts - M3 x 8mm screws x 8 for holding stepper motors to base. In addition to the Arduino and web client software described in the blog post below.
