Desk Lamp Arm Clamp (Ikea TERTIAL-style mount)
Description
I threw out the original clamp for my lamp arm (since repurposed to be a mic mount), but found myself needing to mount it on a desk. Thus, I designed this instead of studying for finals. It'll fit TERTIAL-style lamps with a ~13mm shaft diameter, and will fit desks 0-30mm (0-1.2in) in height. It's more stable on thinner desks. It's designed for an #8-32 screw and nut, though any long enough screw with a ~4mm outer diameter will fit (the nut will move around if it's smaller than a #8). The formula for calculating required screw length (L) based on desk height (H) is as follows: L = H + 13mm = H + 0.5in Edit: Added a metric version for M4 nuts
