Hapstone Scissors & Chisel Attachment for M2, V7, R1, R2, M3 and V8

Description

Update - 23 April 2021 Large blade, Small blade, Scissors, Convex sharpening and Chisel sharpening upgrades for Hapstone sharpeners. I have designed different versions for each of the M2, V7, R1, M3 & V8 models. I have also added a micro fine tuning adapter and angle cube platform for the M2 / M3 / R2 / V8 units. NOTE - The R1 version of my design should also work with the Hapstone R2 / M3 / V8 machine. NOTE - The Chisel, Large blade, Scissors adapters and vertical knife support of the M2 are interchangeable between all versions. M4 brass threaded melt-in inserts, M4 screws and M4 thumb screws are required. 12mmx3mm round neodymium magnets for the magnet recess holes. I highly recommend a strip of rubberised tape (I use ISC Racers Tape / Helicopter tape) for the insides of the clamp and over the top of the magnets for secure grip. Use a tiny bit of epoxy glue to glue the magnets into their slots permanently. Simply remove the current adjustable knife guide from your Hapstone table, and replace it with my platform. Screw into position and tighten. The clamp part of the scissors attachment can be used as follows: (See my photos) Note - The bottom hole is for counter-tightening the clamp as described below. Tighten the top 2 screws to lightly hold your scissors blade in position, and then tighten the bottom screw. (The bottom screw should only have a brass insert on the inside of the small clamp, so it creates a cantilever action and opens the bottom of the clamp up when you tighten the bottom screw, thereby effectively forcing the top closed to clamp nice and snug on your scissors blade. Note: The V7 version might work on the Hapstone V5 and V6, I have not tested them for those 2 models. Anyone who tries them, please let me know if it works for those units also. UPDATES: 7 January 2021 - I added the chisel sharpening adapter 13 April 2021 - I redesigned the Hapstone M2 upgrades and added all of my current upgrades for the Hapstone M2. All of the attachments (chisel, large blade, etc) will also work with the other systems. I also added my fine tuning adapter and angle cube platform for the M2 / M3 / V8 / R1 / R2. 23 April 2021 - Hapstone M2 attachment holes in the Main base changed to longer slots for more accurate positioning. I have found that some Hapstone M2 units have slight different dimensions and this design change compensates for that.
