GMC Canyon Chevrolet Colorado hood prop stand retainer clip - OpenSCAD
Description
The hood prop retainer clip for my 2004 GMC Canyon broke, so I threw this together quickly, and it seems to work pretty well. I printed it in PETG for strength and temperature stability (would have used black, but I was out of black). NOTE: Definitely use a higher temperature filament. I printed this in PETG, and it still deformed as the radiator sits right below it. If you have a higher temperature option than PETG, I would recommend considering it. Update 2021/11/01: As this sits right by the radiator, my original warped slightly (even with PETG). Therefore I now recommend printing this in a higher tempature plastic if possible, such as polycarbonate or nylon. Also uploaded a design with some minor tweaks (rounded index pin and better snap-in).
