100 Snowflakes

100 Snowflakes

Description

***These models have been moved to Cults3D. See notes and links below.*** 100 Unique Snowflakes! No two are alike. Print some for quick holiday decorations or just because you can. Posted here is Snowflake Small 000 (pictured with the quarter). Find the rest on Cults3D: https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/various/100-snowflakes I used Mathematica to generate the designs with random parameters. My code creates all 100 designs, checks each for connectedness, and generates all the STL files in about 13 minutes. I also used Mathematica to make the [animated gif](https://files.cults3d.com/uploaders/14440147/illustration-file/68840c0d-ca4a-40d9-830b-e31c278a8db1/Snowflakes%20Animate.gif). Snowflake 000 was my test and print before I had it generate 100. Included among the individual STL files are five that each contain 20 of the snowflakes arranged to fit on a 200 x 200 mm print bed for quicker setup. Each snowflake has a diameter approximately 40 mm (plus or minus about 5 mm) and a thickness of 0.8 mm. I printed these with 0.2 mm layer height, 1 outline/perimeter shell, 2 solid layers top and bottom, and 0% infill. No supports. No raft. All 100 (not in order) are shown in the photo with the red table cloth. I think Snowflake 002 looks like something from Star Wars. After printing 017, I also noticed the points on that one look like they could be helmets from a Star Wars character.
