Catan Seafarers Lasercut Board and Pieces
Description
This is a lasercut file for the Settlers of Catan Seafarers Expansion, now with new and improved artwork. -I have uploaded the file in Rhino 5 (.3dm), Illustrator (.ai), and CAD (.dxf) files. I designed and modified this in Rhino and if you want to edit it in that program you can download a free trial from their website. I have exported it as Illustrator and CAD if that's easier for you also. -If you need a copy of the rules, they are available on the catan website or included with your copy of the game. A few things to note: ________________ -The ships come in 2 parts which I call the base piece and the set piece. You have to stick in and glue to the set piece to the base piece and these are designed to be cut out of 1/8” thick wood. -The board pieces can be cut out of 1/4” thick wood if you want but 1/8” thick is probably more than enough. Just make sure to stick with what thickness you choose if you want to cut some or all of the expansions/extensions as well. This is to ensure that your board will be an even thickness. -All black lines are meant to be cut and red lines are meant to be etched (They don't show this way in the image but they do in the .3dm, .ai, and .dxf files). -All regular terrain hexes have a center hole cut out of them which creates the number tokens. After placing the number tokens in the resource-producing hexes, place the remaining tokens with the skeleton on them in the desert. The uniformity was so that you can mix all of the hexes together without telling what any are (even the desert has a center hole though it doesn't technically need a place for a number token). -The water hexes have varying designs on them but they all perform the same function of being the water for the seafarers to cross. It was just done to add some visual to those so they're not blank hexes. These do not have center cuts since they do not need to be mixed with the resource-producing hexes. -This set has additional number tokens to be used in conjunction with those from the base game but they have slightly different markings so you should be able to tell them apart from the base game ones. Plus these do not have letters on them as an additional way of telling them apart. More actual pictures of the board to come after I have made and colored the tiles and pieces. _______________________________________________________________________ Look for all of my lasercut catan sets at this “hub” since I am making the expansions too: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4850574
