Sojus spaceship remix
Description
Update: - added the modified rescue and return rocket assembly. - for reference added the "Vostok" spaceship stl-file grabbed from thing 3121090. User ringloard has some objects on Shapeways for sale. The 3D-rendering model gives you a detailed view of the miniature spaceship he made. https://www.shapeways.com/product/KK5DSWKEP/1-100-soyuz-7k-ok This is my remix of a MUCH simplified Sojus spaceship made for decoration. Now the overall hight is round about 154mm. By chance it could be made from wood on a lathe too. Just an idea: If made from wood and making thinner slices with different paints it could make a game where the kids sort the pieces till they have finished the spaceship. The base could be fitted with a rod 12-16mm diameter. The other parts (with the matching holes going through) could be stacked up. My Sandmann needs more contacts, stations to visit and inspect. Space patrol vehicle https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4015527 Moon rover https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4057681 source : Soyuz Spaceship Christmas Ornament I want the Sojus much bigger. I guess it can be scaled up easily. Be cause of my crappy Chineese made printer I fear loosing much time and effort when it fails I have split the thing into pieces. Have redrawn almost all parts. Each part can be connected with the next by using a disk/flange. See my Lunochod, I have used the same method. The disk/flange diameter is 20.0mm. The matching hole on the next part is 20.1mm. The rescue rocket shaft diameter is 6mm. The solar panel rod is diameter is 6mm. I assume the parts should be glued together. Glueing will not work with filament like PETG! By chance the solar panels can be used from the source files. Scale them up. The rods could be made from wooden dowels. Some small additions like tanks and the thrusters could be made later on.
