https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wzsgrWNYs_o Newyear is comming up and I thought it would be fun to make some Newyear decoration. You can partially design it yourself by changing the height of the sticks and choose your own decoration. I always print PETG and the fuzzy decoration worked perfectly. If somebody has some problems with printing it in PLA please contact me so I can see what I can do about it. Below is some more printing information about the different parts. Happy Newyear 2020 --------------------------- This is the base stand with the text Happy Newyear 2020. The stand contains 4 holes in which to place the end of the sticks. Print settings: - Infill: 20-25% - Layer Height 0,2 mm - Line Width: 0,4 mm - Skirt - Support I ve printed this with support. It was some work to get the supports out but I got them out eventually. Material used: Black PETG https://www.123-3d.nl/123-3D-Filament-zwart-1-75-mm-PETG-1-kg-Jupiter-serie-123-3D-huismerk-i1906-t12191.html Sticks -------- The end of the stick is threaded so you can place the decoration on top of the stick. The following heights are available: - 50 mm - 75 mm - 100 mm - 125 mm Print settings: - Infill: 100% - Layer Height 0,2 mm - Line Width: 0,4 mm - Brim - No Support I have printed the sticks with the thread facing the print bed. The thread has an angle of 45° so no support should be needed. Material used: Transparant PETG https://www.123-3d.nl/123-3D-Filament-transparant-1-75-mm-PETG-1-kg-Jupiter-serie-123-3D-huismerk-DFE02000c-i1908-t12194.html Fuzzy Balls --------------- After printing the fuzzy balls the "hairs" are still stuck together. You can disconnect the "hairs" with your hands and model the balls as you like. These can then be screwed onto a stick. Print settings: - Infill: 100% - Layer Height 0,2 mm - Line Width: 0,4 mm - Brim - No Support I ve printed it with the threaded hole facing the printbed. These can also be screwed onto the a stick. Print settings: - Infill: 100% - Layer Height 0,2 mm - Line Width: 0,4 mm - Brim - No Support I have printed it with the threaded hole facing the printbed. Star ------ This is just a basic star. After it is printed it can be screwed onto a stick. Print settings: - Infill: 20-25% - Layer Height 0,2 mm - Line Width: 0,4 mm - Skirt - Support The support for the threaded hole shouldnt be to hard to remove.
