Phillips Hue Motion Sensor Mount

Phillips Hue Motion Sensor Mount

Description

This thing is a gimbal mount for the Phillips Hue motion sensor. These dont seem to be available from Phillips so I designed one. It was quite critical dimensioning to get the socket to fit the ball with enough friction to hold everything in place. This seems to print quite reliably. the mount to the wall is via 2 mm picture nails, though if you print with enough outlines, you can drill out to fit any nail diameter you have to hand. It uses a magnet to connect to the Hue sensor - the sensor is configured that way. I used 5 mm diameter 3 mm deep neodymium magents from amazon, link below. they hold in by friction but you could always glue them in place if needed. I printed in ABS as it is all I have in white, not sure how well it would work in PLA, I would expect PETG to work well though. There needs to be a bit of give to it so you can install the socket to the ball. I have included the STL files and also the Autodesk Inventor files if you need to edit it at all. https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00389VRZW/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
