Description
The Cadetwriter project from the IBM 1620 Jr. team at the Computer History Museum adapts an IBM/Lexmark Wheelwriter 1000 electric typewriter for use as a printing console device for IBM 1620 or ASCII terminal emulation. The Wheelwriter was mainly used with individual sheets of typing paper, but as a computer console device it makes more sense to feed it with continuous paper from a roll or fanfold. This device (two required) clips into the ventilation slots of the Wheelwriter upper housing and helps keep the paper in the right position as it feeds through the platen.
