Ender 3 Pro PSU Cover honeycomb 80mm fan
Description
Ender 3 Pro PSU (Meanwell LRS-350-24) replacement cover with 80mm hole, remixed from fanless honeycomb cover design by Skrycchio because I wasn't comfortable running it with no fan. No room inside the PSU for a larger fan, so with this design the fan is mounted on the outside. I used a 12V Noctua 80x25 and it works great, far less noise when the fan comes on. Its possible that cooling performance might be improved if I had followed the original design of closed housing and vents to direct the airflow, but I hoped that opening the entire front face with honeycomb might encourage more passive cooling. Either way, the fan still goes on and off during prints as before, so its doing what it needs to and it was less PLA to print :) Be aware that my Noctua 2-pin adapter has polarity switched compared to the header on the PSU board - if you find your fan doesn't come on even during printing, this is the first thing to check!
