HexoLED - Modular LED lamps

HexoLED - Modular LED lamps

Description

Hi! This is my first 3D printing project. I released my fusion 360 design file so anyone can make changes if they want. Keep in mind that I am still learning Fusion 360 and 3D printing processes. The design is parametric, but if you change some parameters double-check if everything was "scaled" correctly. I am still printing more modules, I will post an update when I do a full assembly with at least 6-8 HexoLED modules. ## Smart D-LED Controller To control the HexoLED I used a universal digital led strip controller that I built. https://github.com/DylanMeng/Smart-D-LED-API https://github.com/DylanMeng/Smart-D-LED-PCB https://github.com/DylanMeng/Smart-D-LED-REMOTE However, this can be complicated to build so don't hesitate to use any LED strip and controller that you may know. ## Magnetic diffuser The magnetic diffuser can be clip-on after fixing all HexoLED modules. Also, the diffuser can be easily removed for reparation (Example: LED strip double-sided tape no longer stick) One HexoLED module requires x12 3x2mm mini magnet. HexoLED can be fixed to a wall using the center hole. ## Important notes - When printing the diffuse, try to prevent any dust or hair from getting stuck between two-layer (any impurities between layers will be seen). - Magnets are tight fitted. - The 8x3mm magnets are not strong enough to fully hold two HexoModule together but they can help when fixing to a wall.
