Poor Man's Surveying Hack
Description
Here is an interesting project of two brackets designed to mount a compass to a 100ft laser measuring device for the back-yard surveyor. Two inexpensive items: [The Compass](https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07PHKNBLK/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) and [The Laser Measure](https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0736R6294/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) This project attaches these two in alignment leveraging the ability to precisely measure distance to compass angles. Great for fences, property boundaries or the measurement of angles at a great distance. The bracket is mounted forward of the tripod mount which should allow mounting to most tripods but if your tripod head is large, you may need a [mini ball head](https://www.amazon.com/UTEBIT-Aluminum-Diameter-1-25inch-Compatible/dp/B06XKW7V14/ref=sr_1_3?keywords=mini+tripod+head&qid=1578598144&sr=8-3) for clearance.
