Car Light Cover (2016 Nissan Altima front tray)
Description
I had recently got a new car and the front tray light was just a normal light which makes sense because you keep stuff there and want to see it. However I did not like that the light did not match the rest of the dash blood orange colors and felt I could sacrifice some of the light for a better look and I set out to do so. I designed this cover to fit the curve of the plastic where the light was positioned. I needed to included a cut out because the plastic from the light hole itself was in the way. In the end I could have made the cut out smaller but it does not allow any light through so I did not bother with a redesign. I had a co-worker of mine who had some orange translucent PLA print this out for me and I was able to simply glue it onto the underside of the tray (you can see where my aim was a bit off) and it works great as you can see from the before and after photos. I imagine this will work for all 5th gen Altimas (2013-2018). This should be a pretty simple build for anyone who has a different car with different dimensions to model and build on their own but if you lack the modeling skills but want this for you car shoot me a message and I can see what I can do for you in terms of designing one that fits your vehicle.
