Tricopter LR and Baby Impossible Tilt with Bearings and Crossfire Diversity

Tricopter LR and Baby Impossible Tilt with Bearings and Crossfire Diversity

Description

The tail is a remix of the impossible tilt. I have revised it to fit the Tricopter LR better. I also strengthened the servo holder. This design uses 3mm IDx6mm ODx2.5mm deep ball bearings (2) in the back mount to reduce friction to a minimum. But most importantly, I removed the need to print a female spline in the motor mount. Replacing that approach by using the standard 2 gang servo arm for rcexplorer's tail servo, 210DMH. It also fits a 22HV. You can connect the servo arm to the mount with 2x 2mmx10 screws and nuts and the 2 gang servo arm that comes with the servo. No more worries about the spline printing poorly or stripping. And you can print the mount with course layers and a larger nozzle and it won't matter. Also in this design is a Crossfire Dual antenna diversity mount for the tricopter LR. It places the antennae in the optimum place away from the frame, and at 60 degrees to each other (30 degrees off vertical in each direction). It also has a rearward tilt of 25 degrees for forward flight. This will place either one of the two antennae vertical or close to it in normal forward flight relative to the ground antenna. I use vertical polarization on the transmitter for maximum distance, since the Tricopter LR is all about distance. So if you use this mount, be sure your T antenna on the crossfire Tx is vertical! ***Update 05-16-20*** Added TORQ CL0508 servo and motor mounts ***Update 03-02-20*** Added KST DS215MG servo mount ***Update 03-05-20*** Added KST DS215MG motor mount ***Update 03-23-20*** Added Baby tri back and servo mount files ***Update 03-24-20*** Added Baby tri servo mount for KST DS215MG servo
