Ender3/CR10 direct drive / Banta mount remix (stock extruder).

Description

This is the version of the famous Banta Mount cooling by Jeff Broderick who created a great minimalist cooling that looks very nice. (rest of parts on http://bantam.design ) The base was drawn from scratch - now you can use the original extruder and Nema motor to build direct drive in combination with e3d hotend. The distance between the extruder and the hotend has been minimized (it doesn't require a ptfe tube if you don't want - I will recommend it - it will protect the extruder's plastic elements against wear). You can use the Nema motor 42-40 - it will fit, it will not hit the Z axis frame. However, I recommend replacing the 42-40 motor with 42-35 from the Y axis - it is lighter and smaller but it is quite enough. Also tested with the 42-23 (pancake) motor and also coped well with printing, however, its temperature is much higher than 42-35. There are many similar modifications available, but I wanted to make the most of BantaMount's previously printed elements and to hide the engine in the back of the cooling for comfort and a slim look. I recommend turning the hotend so that the heater is at the back - the nozzle will be better seen. I encourage you to try Banta Mount - it's really good-looking cooling. You will find them at http://bantam.design and please support Jeff's work.
