Duet WiFi Case For i3 Systems
Description
I remixed the 'AM8 Electronics Case with Dual mosfet' (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2330654) to create a case to support a Duet WiFi board with custom cooling for the Stepper Drivers and a Single Mosfet for the Heated Bed. This design implements an under-board air channel for cooling the stepper drivers using a simple 20mm x 20mm 12 or 24 volt fan which can connect directly to the Duet board. I designed this for use on a second AM8 model printer I built and the case mounts on an 2040 Extrusion. I also used brass inserts (m3) for all of the screws (holding the boards and locking the cover in place). In addition, I elected to use some nylon m3 screws to hold the Duet WiFi in the case--this worked out exceptionally well with the brass inserts. I have now been using this case for nearly a year on two different printers and I can say that the temperature remains at a reasonable level consistently--even for prints take over 24 hours.
