SI-8B Geiger Mueller Tube Casing
Description
A casing for the SI-8B (ci-8b; си8б) geiger-mueller-tube. Can be fitted with various front plates, one having a completely open front (65mm diameter) and one with a honeycomb-grid to protect the mylar entrance window of the tube. If you need to change the front plate multiple times i'd suggest you use the "_keyed"-variant in combination with the wrench, which gives you a lever to unscrew the assembly. Friction may keep the two screwed pieces together pretty hard. The handle has slots to slide in a 30mm wide PCB which holds whatever preamp or signal treatment you'd like to fit. The back has a hole for a standard M12 cable gland. The gland should be glues in, idealy with epoxy, as the thandle and shell parts should be, too. The chamfer should be completely filled witzh epoxy to guarantee a good connection.
