The Extruder 3d Printing Trophy
Description
THE EXTRUDER is a perfect novelty gift acknowledgement to any 3d printing contest, and serves well as a trophy of achievement for anyone, even for yourself. This was remixed from BORED MAN by tomer057 https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:614806 which is licensed under the Creative Commons - Attribution - Share Alike. Inheriting that license conditions, I added the non-commercial condition to THE EXTRUDER license with my additions to the design. It is not an easy model to print and thus can be treated as a test print. The support has been built-in the STL file because slicer created support, while good, are usually overkill and extends the printing time unreasonably long. You will need a fine cutter pair of pliers to remove the support below the nose, chin, and neck. The other support can be removed manually without any tools. The gcode file is at 200C hotend, 40C bed, 40mm/s to 80mm/s speed, on a 120mmx125mmx120mm build volume 3d printer such as Trinus, Monoprice Mini, Snapmaker, etc.with PLA filament . I used Trinus for this although I have all 3 brands. If you use a larger volume printer, the model in the gcode will then print it to the front-left side of the big bed. The gcode is provided as a convenience and prints in about 8 hours. You can slice the STL file yourself to fit your own 3d printer and even scale it to something very big. The S3D factory file supplied is to show to those who have S3D slicer the use of several processes in a single model print. A good instructable in itself on slicing. It's rewarding to print even as a trophy for you to keep and display. I hope you enjoy printing it as much as I enjoyed remixing BORED MAN and creating THE EXTRUDER.
