Airodactylus -an Ender 3 fan duct
Description
Update: PROJET FROZEN Im sorry to say this, but still havent got enough time for this modell, as life and job came aaand i needed more cooling too, and went on to the 2 fans desing with ptairoductilus. No develompent done on V2. V3 will be releaded someday, but i cant tell ETA :( -months pass, still this project aint going anywhere :( I know its a good duct even in its current state, -not flawless, you are right guys, assembly needs to be easier. I dont want to delete this thing, lets call it a "frozen project" Thank you all the advices, to testers, to everybody :) - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Quick update on V3: i was unable to make the two airflow balanced, i give myself an other try next week. Until that here is my two-fan design, which outperforms the AIRO family: Ptairoductylus https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/tool/ptairoductylus-a-performance-based-ender-3-cr10-maybe-5-dual-fan-duct - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Update3: Added BLTouch mount stl. Print it the orientation as it loads, at <0.24. Mount havent tested, please report how its working! You will need: 1*M3x20, 2*M3x6 and 2 or 3 from the following: M3x15 M3x15 M3x8 instructions updated Check my 50x6mm overhang test! you can sneak peak on V3 too. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Update2: added bridge test stl - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Update1: added bridge settings to curaprofile. Bridge flow needs to be 105-110% of your calibrated flow! Running tests currently with this settings. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - WORK IN PROGRESS :) -yep, its still ;)) I designed this duct for bridges, long bridges. Tests shows it can print in mid air 150-200mm on the Y axis with this till its not a wide surface (like 150*30 will look bad). It needs improvements on the X altough. Installation: Use the 2 stock M3 screws from the fan to connect the duct to the e-plate. -My threads are ruined by the numerous duct changes, so i use the longer M3 screws which hold the 4010fan. These are long enough to use the whole thread.- Tighten with allan keys -you cant use screwdrivers as they are both in the bottom of deep holes :P The stock hotend fan can be used, but the cables need to be freely moved backwards. I broke that little plastic so tha cables came directly from the soldered plates. The 4010fan needs 1 or 2 stock M3 scews. For the 5015 blower 1, more than 20mm long M4 is enough. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - So much work in this, and more to do.
